Captivated with Captain Dad's

Some Ilonggos may not be familiar with this "new" restaurant" along Molo, Iloilo City. If you are from that area, you are probably familiar with it. Captain Dad's seems to be hidden from the outside world but it is not. It is truly a discovery that most foodies would surely enjoy. They have a great array of food at very affordable prices. Their affordable food prices may be the reason why the place is jam packed with students during lunch time. Here are some of the foods that they serve. Come and visit Captain Dad's inside the Soriano compound between JD and near IDH.

Meet me at Freddy's

Freddy's. This is where good conversations and great food at a reasonable price meets. Freddy's is one of the numerous restaurants located at Sarabia Manor Hotel here in Iloilo City. It has been around for quite some time now and one can say that it has its own set of satisfied customers who just keeps on craving for more.

We are just so lucky to experience Freddy's with a company of a dear friend, Irvin Balagosa. Let the pictures help you have an idea of what Freddy's have to offer. The Loaded Potato skin is a must try appetizer. It basically baked potatoes with sour cream, cheese and bacon bits. Also, their Country basket which is composed of mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings and onion rings should not be missed out.

Can't Get Enough of Baked Talaba

Many things have been said about Griller's baked talaba. Curiosity pushed us to seek for this popular place wherein they are famous for their baked talaba. Finally we did have time to check it out and even if power interruption occurred while we were eating, it is not enough reason for our appetite and craving for baked talaba to be gone. After the baked talaba experience at Griller's (in front of Baluarte Elementary School), we will definitely come back for more. But only for the baked talaba and nothing else.

Craving for Burger

Here are some pictures that we took from Crave Burger. Putting a stop to the comments of most people that burger at Crave Burger is pretty much bland.
Crave Burger with Fried Egg

Blue Lemonade

Skinny Fries

Crave Burger with Maple Bacon and Caramelized Onions

I really enjoyed my Burger with maple bacon and onion rings. I'm sure Anthony enjoyed his with fried egg. Skinny fries were great but onion rings were over coated with batter which we did not like at all, the very reason I did not even bother to take any picture. Burgers were really great and we will definitely crave for more.

Pizza and Pasta at Pizza Hut

If you are looking for the best customer service that you could ever imagine, you will definitely find it at Pizza Hut. There are a lot of pizza choices that you can choose from Pizza Hut's menu, it could be pan pizza, thin crust or thick crust. A lot of variety can be seen at Pizza Hut. In terms of Pasta, they also have a wide range of choices. From penne to ravioli. Dessert is not far behind. So, if you are looking for the best customer service you could ever have then dine at Pizza Hut which for me has the bets Pizza ever in the form of their BBQ Ribs Pizza. Here are some of the pictures taken. Pizza Hut is indeed worth your money.

What's Cooking at Hongkong Kitchen?

Chinese restaurants are abundant in Iloilo City. They each have their own distinct tastes and unique mark in terms of their dishes and service. Hongkong Kitchen has been around for quite some time. Located at the ground floor of Robinson's Iloilo, you cannot miss out this restaurant because of its color theme of black and red. If you are game on some Chinese treat then Hongkong Kitchen is a good choice. Affordable, big servings and great tasting foods. Definitely a winner.

Mango Pudding for dessert with soy milk at the top. Yummy and refreshing

Pork Siomai! A must try. Even more delicious with chili sauce

Beef Brisket. Generous serving

Pork Asado and Soy Chicken (comes with a ginger sauce and century egg)

Ginger Sauce for the chicken and Chili sauce for the siomai. Yummy

If the pictures are not enough then try it for yourself. We will definitely come back for more especially the  dumplings and rolls set.
